Snoop Dogg Joins NHL 20

The most recent patch for NHL 20 brings Snoop Dogg himself to the game. Snoop Dogg serves as both a guest commentator alongside James Cybulski, who does the play-by-play. You can also put Snoop on the ice in the World of Chel online multiplayer suite.
It might seem a bit odd to have Snoop Dogg in NHL 20 but he’s been an avid gamer and has also been active in the esports space. Earlier this year he also joined the King’s Broadcast Booth for some play-by-play.
Our thoughts: Crossovers in games can be weird, sometimes we roll our eyes and sometimes it leaves us confused, but Super Smash Bros. of all things over the past 20 has shown us that it can be insanely well. Lately I’ve learned to star embracing the odd chaos of random video game cross over with pop culture. It’s fun, it shows a wider acceptance in the mainstream and further erosion of the stigma that video games are for losers living in their mothers basement. Some games may go overboard (looking at your Final Fantasy XIV) but it’s all in the name of fan service and making someones day. So, I think the end, I’m all for it.
