FaZe Announces New Roster for VCT Stage 2
FaZe Clan recently announced their new Valorant team roster changes in time for VCT Stage 2. This comes after FaZe failed to qualify for the VCT Stage 1 Challengers, leading them to rebuild their team in time for the next stage.
FaZe’s New Roster
The new lineup consists of Phat “supamen” Le, Kevin “POISED” Ngo, Jake “Poach” Brumleve, Quan “dicey” Tran, and Andrej “Babybay” Francisty. Both supamen and POISED were former players for Rise, who finished last in the group stage of the VCT Stage 1 Challengers event. With new pickups dicey and Poach are joining the team earlier this year, Babybay remains the sole veteran FaZe member. This new team consists of well-known players in the Valorant scene, potentially leading them to be fan favorites entering the highly contentious Challengers event.

The new members have already made their names known as they finished in the top four of the Open Qualifier 1 stage last weekend, moving them on to the group stage of the main event. Boasting wins over VIRTUOSO, Sentinels, and TSM, FaZe has found a comfy position at the end of the winners bracket.
Their newly founded teamwork and skills will be put to the test in the upcoming group stage, which could potentially pit them against other top teams such as NRG, OpTic, or one of the winners from this weekend’s Open Qualifier 2 stage. A top two placing in the main event would qualify them for the VCT Stage 2 Masters event, which would be huge for the fresh-faced team.
FaZe Clan was founded back in 2010, starting as a Call of Duty sniping clan, eventually entering the esports scene a couple years later. The main YouTube channel now has over 8 million subscribers, spanning almost 12 years of content.
In other news, Fandom and eFuse recently partnered to help expand and promote the collegiate esports scene, which you can read about here.
