Each week we bring you two moments, one of epic success. Someone who absolutely nailed it! And another of an epic failure. This week on Nailed in and Failed In…

Nailed It!

An APEX player by the name of MikeySkates was playing Bangalore and as his team dropped from the high ground to advance on an enemy team he shot his smoke grenade to lay some cover on their advance. What MikeySkates didn’t expect was that his 11 damage smoke grenade would not only connect with another player, but also secure the kill.

Failed It!

Fighting game community's passion isn't paying the bills

At 15 years old, Hoa "Anakin" Luu and his dad made the nearly 700-mile journey from his hometown of Atlanta to the sun-bleached southern tip of Miami for Guard Your Grill, a Tekken tournament with a $1,000 payout for first place.

The entire Fighting Game Community, or at least those who do the organizing and are in charge of the abysmally low prize pools earn this weeks black eye for Failed It! David O’Keefe of VentureBeat wrote a piece about how the FGC’s prize pools in some instances, just aren’t worth the trip the competitors are making to get there.
