What Your Teamfight Tactics Comp Says About You
The new set of Teamfight Tactics, Reckoning, is now in full swing. People are already sharing their builds and crying out for nerfs in Riot’s addicting auto-battler. In many ways, like Chess and other games, TFT can let you know a lot about a player’s personality based on their favored team comps. So in celebration of the new set, we wanted to explore the depths of the human psyche through TFT. Because of the infinite number of permutations in the game we will focus on the major origins and classes. We may not get to your favorite this time but we’ll revisit this as the set evolves.
Also, if you want to know what every class actually does Riot made us a very nice cheat sheet you can check out here.
Coven (Leblanc, Lissandra, Morgana)
What It Does: When all three are on the board, the Coven powers up the champion positioned in center of them.
What It Says About You: You are the crystal bae. You had to move apartments in the middle of the pandemic, but couldn’t unpack a single box without smudging the entire place. Your Instagram is filled with #vibes and really problematic henna tattoos.
Skirmisher (Jax, Kennen, Lee Sin, Nidalee, Pantheon, Trundle, Udyr, Viego)
What It Does: Skirmishers get a shield at the start of combat and bonus attack damage every second.
What It Says About You: You love Shonen Anime. LOVE. It doesn’t matter what it’s really about, it just needs to have a hot-blooded male protagonist that gets stronger the more they get beat up. For you, when a punch doesn’t work, PUNCH HARDER.
Hellion (Kennen, Kled, Lulu, Poppy, Teemo, Ziggs)
What It Does: All Hellions get bonus attack speed and little demon babies pop out of a portal when a Hellion dies.
What It Says About You: When you saw the name you thought this comp would be Metal. Then you found out it was a bunch of fluffy, diminutive, demon-spawn…which made you hate it….and made you feel more Metal.
Forgotten (*breathes deep* Draven, Hecarim, Katarina, Ryze, Thresh, Vayne, Viego, Viktor, Warwick)
What It Does: Forgotten Champs get bonus attack damage and spell power, even more buffs for every Shadow Item equipped to them.
What It Says About You: You actually hate Teamfight Tactics but you play anything if your husbando, Viego, is involved.
Redeemed (Aatrox, Kayle, Lux, Leona, Rell, Syndra, Varus, Vel’Koz)
What It Does: The more Redeemed units on the board the more armor, magic resistance, and spell power they have. When one dies, that bonus is split between the remaining Redeemed units.
What It Says About You: You’re a genuinely nice person. You really want the best for people. But this often ruins relationships. You spend entirely too much time arguing with anti-vaxx family members on Facebook. And you’re kind of a know it all.
Cavalier (Hecarim, Kled, Rell, Sejuani)
What It Does: Cavaliers charge at their targets quickly. After every kill and at the start of battle, each charge doubles their damage reduction.
What It Says About You: FORTH EORLINGAAAAAAAAAAS!
Dragonslayer (Diana, Mordekaiser, Pantheon, Trundle)
What It Does: Dragonslayers get bonus spell power, and when they kill an enemy with 1400+ health all allies gain bonus spell power as well.
What It Says About You: You don’t really know what this comp does. You don’t really know what any comp does.
If you didn’t see your favorite composition, don’t worry we’ll put out Part 2 soon where we can explore even more of the Teamfight Tactics world through your insecurities!
