Rapper Logic Signs To Stream On Twitch, Exclusively
The Rapper, Logic, made headlines last week by revealing he would retire from music, but he’s not leaving the public eye totally. He’s taking his talents to the streamer-verse, by signing exclusively to Twitch. This is the first time that the platform has signed a musician to stream on their platform.
In an interview with The Verge, Logic said Twitch as a “powerful platform” that allows him to connect with his fans in the “safest way possible”. It also helps that the streaming platform threw an undisclosed seven-figure deal at him. Logic is no stranger to streaming on Twitch. Back in 2018, he played a bit of Fallout 76 with Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and cartoon characters Rick & Morty to….mixed results. In December 2019, he flexed his lyrical and submachine gun skills while playing Modern Warfare on stream as well. It’s a bold move considering the signing streamers didn’t bode well for Mixer in the end. However, with no end to the COVID-19 pandemic in sight (in America at least), musicians are losing a major source of income, tours. And as a new dad, Logic is sure to be thinking about the future of his (gaming) career.
For his debut stream, Logic is also giving fans a first listen to his final album, No Pressure. He’s scheduled to go live Tuesday, July 21st at 8 pm eastern time on his Twitch channel. So if you want to be one of the first to hear No Pressure make sure you are there to share your thoughts in the chat.
