LCS Spring Split Finals Moving Online Cites CoronaVirus Concerns
In an expected move, the LCS decided to move the 2020 Spring Split Finals to an online format. The change comes in the continued wake of the COVID-19 outbreak that continues to shut down the world.
In a statement, LCS Commissioner, Chris Greeley said that the remainder of the split, the playoffs and the Spring Split Finals would all take place online. The state of California, where the LCS studios are located, is currently under a shelter-in-place order. All non-essential industries are currently shut down and travel is limited to food and prescription runs only.
The LCS Spring Split Finals are still scheduled to take place on April 18th and 19th.
