NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns has bragged about his Call of Duty talent for years, and now he has an opportunity to show it off at the Call of Duty League celebrity tournament.
Next weekend when the Call of Duty League officially kicks off its inaugural season, the league will host a 2v2 celebrity “Hype Battle” gauntlet that will precede the pro matches. The Hype Battle matches will be played in gunfight mode.
Karl-Anthony took to Twitter saying
Hey @CODLeague – I’m coming for you! 😤 Ready to crush during the 2v2 Hype Battle against celeb opponents 1/26 at The Armory in MPS, in front of the best Call of Duty players in the world. Get ready! https://t.co/tWz0B1H16d #CDL2020 #CDLPartner
This is far from the first tournament Towns has participated in, he won the 2019 Mountain Dew Call of Duty celebrity Pro-Am where he competed against actual Call of Duty pros.
The action goes down January 26th at the Call of Duty League Launch Weekend at the Minneapolis Armory
