Wargaming is pleased to announce that World of Tanks Blitz, its free-to-play team-based mobile MMO game, is available today for the Nintendo SwitchTM. Wargaming’s first-ever partnership with Nintendo brings the World of Tanks franchise to Nintendo Switch players and tank fans everywhere.

“World of Tanks Blitz is the very first Wargaming title to launch on a Nintendo platform, unveiling its signature tank gameplay to even more gamers around the world,” said Andrey Ryabovol, Product Director of World of Tanks Blitz. “Launching on the Nintendo Switch is a perfect match for us since the platform’s on-the-go gaming ability and impressive graphic fidelity fit the game’s playstyle and audience.”

“World of Tanks Blitz is an exciting addition to the Nintendo Switch game library. It will provide Nintendo gamers with iconic tank combat gameplay that is unrivaled on our platform – an arcade-like experience unlike any other,” said Steve Singer, Publisher & Developer Relations Nintendo of America. “The title’s debut on the platform brings a fresh and unique online warfare experience to our players, testing their skill and strategy in intense, action-packed battles.”

Boasting more than 137 million downloads globally, World of Tanks Blitz brings its fierce team-based mobile tank combat to Nintendo Switch while delivering full cross-play support across all available platforms. Cross-play matches take place on the same server, allowing new players to fight side-by-side or compete against the game’s huge community.

Players battling on existing Wargaming.net accounts can bring their full World of Tanks Blitz accounts to Nintendo Switch and retain any progress they have earned.

To stand out on the battlefield, all Nintendo Switch players will be given an exclusive avatar and gifted 1000 gold, three-days access to a premium account, and a Tier II American Medium Tank (available in the in-game shop until September 9).

World of Tanks Blitz does not require Nintendo Switch Online membership to download and play.

World of Tanks Blitz is now available for the Nintendo Switch and also available on iOS, macOS, Android, Windows 10, and Steam. For more information, visit wotblitz.com.
