The Philadelphia Fusion released a video on social media detailing their complete roster for the 2020 season. The trade and signing window is still open for some time, so there is always room for change but it seems as though the Fusion have settled on a core team consisting of old Fusion favorites and new blood.
According to the video the new roster consists of Kyeongbo “Alarm” Kim in the flex support role who comes from the Fusion University Contender’s team. Gael “Poko” Gouzerch, one of the original members of the Philadelphia Fusion and one of the more well known D.va players in the league. Poko is best known for his flashy D.va ults lovingly called Poko bombs. Sumin “SADO Kim another tank from the 2018 inaugural season remains on the roster. Isaac “Boombox” Charles, another original team member and support will be returning for the 2020 season. From the ATL Academy team the Fusion also add Daniel “FunnyAstro” Hathaway to their line-up as a main support. Coming from the Toronto Defiant Seung-hyun “Ivy” Lee joins as a flex DPS. Despite rumors that he was looking to jump to an all Korean team, Jae-hyeok “Carpe” Lee, a fan favorite and legendary hit-scan DPS player will remain with the Fusion as well. Formerly of the London Spitfire Jun-ho “Fury” Kim joins as a flex tank. Lastly, Josue “Eqo” Corona another of the Fusion’s original members and high caliber DPS player will remain with the team for the 2020 season.
The Philadelphia Fusion were the runner’s up for the inaugural 2018 season next to the London Spitfire who took the championship. While they had less success in the 2019 season, it seems they’re keeping their core talent and high profile players while making the changes they believe they need to improve on last season.
