According to reporting from Rod “Slasher” Breslau and ESPN, Blizzard is set to announce the sequel to “Overwatch” this weekend at Blizzcon.

Based on a document leaked to ESPN, “Overwatch 2” will focus on a Player vs Environment (PvE) story mode. It will support four players and one leaked story mission is said to take place in Rio De Janerio. Also, teased was a new Player vs Player game mode called “Push” on a new map set in Toronto.

The leak comes at at time where Blizzard sees itself maligned in the gaming community. Its still recovering from controversy stemming from its suspension of a Hearthstone player for political speech. It is unknown from the article if the game is set to replace the current Overwatch as a full retail release or function as PvE add-on.

Editors Note: According to Breslau, the game will NOT be “Overwatch 2” but a “Chapter 2” to the current Overwatch.
