On Saturday the Atlanta Reign faced of against the Dallas Fuel with the Reign taking the first match on Busan and Dallas coming back to win the second map on Volskaya. Coming out of the half at 1 – 1, Atlanta manages to stay one step ahead of the Fuel taking the last two maps to end the series at 3 – 1. The struggling Boston Uprising then went up against the New York Excelsior. The Boston put up more of a fight than they have in the previous matches this stage, with each map loss being by only a single point. They even managed to nab map 3 in King’s Row of the Excelsior, but in the end New York take the series 1 to 3. The San Francisco Shock and t he Vancouver Titans give us a rematch of the Stage 1 and 2 Championship matches and the Shock prove once and for all that they’ve adapted better to the new meta with a game 5 win over the Titans. In the 7th battle for LA, the Los Angeles Gladiators and the Los Angeles Valiant duked it out for supremacy of the City of the Angels, but it was the Gladiators that take home the crown.
On Sunday the Hangzhou Spark and the Shanghai Dragons started off the day with the Spark sweeping the Stage 3 Champions in a 4 – 0 game. The Atlanta Reign finished out their Stage 4 with a perfect 7 – 0 record as they demolished the Boston Uprising in a full 4 – 0 sweep, completing their 0 – 7 stage record. Two other leviathans took the stage in the Vancouver Titans versus the New York Excelsior, the two teams took the match all the way to a game five. It was the Vancouver Titans that would take the final game and proved their supremacy over the New York boys. The final match of the regular season were the San Francisco Shock facing off against Los Angeles Valiant, but the Shock proved to be too much for the Los Angeles Valiant as they were swept in a 4- 0 series.
