Video game developer Shawn Alexander Allen joins Checkpoint XP to talk about the upcoming game, Treachery in Beatdown City.
I’ve actually just finally come up with the way talk about it (Treachery in Beatdown City). There’s two ways. I usually say Double Dragon meets Fallout 3 VATS or the best parts of beat-em-ups, fighting games, turn based tactics, and RPGs so I don’t have to name drop other genres.– Shawn Alexander Allen
The problem with the store (Epic Games Store) is that I see a lot of people are really upset, like “Oh, I can’t get this thing on Steam.” I feel like it’s just people having a collection issue, and them wanting to have all their books on the same shelf.– Shawn Alexander Allen, on Epic Games Store exclusives
Treachery in Beatdown City will be released on the Nintendo Switch and on PC via Steam. Shawn also recounts how he met Open Mike Eagle and got him on board for the main theme song of Treachery in Beatdown City.
