SDCC Panel Teases Ms. Marvel For Avengers Game
With San Diego Comic Con underway, we’ve gotten a look at more of the upcoming Avengers video game. Whereas the E3 demo only showed us what was going on with Captain America and Black Widow, the new footage at SDCC showed us the viewpoint of another character. It takes the perspective of a young girl running around in the devastation, calling for her mother and sporting a Captain Marvel t-shirt. Anyone familiar with the context clues will recognize this young girl to be Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel.
For those who don’t follow the comics closely, Kamala Khan is the current Ms. Marvel. Carol Danvers was the original Ms. Marvel, but she’s a bit busy playing Captain Marvel these days. Kamala discovers she’s an inhuman in the wake of the Inhumanity story-line, gifted with incredible shape-shifting abilities and a healing factor. In the trailer, she’s exposed to the Terrigen Mist, which will likely be the catalyst for her abilities to manifest. As one of the better written Marvel comics these days, it’ll be exciting to see what she’ll bring to the Avengers.
