Spider-Man: Far From Home Reaches $850 Million Globally
For the second weekend in a row, Spider-Man: Far From Home was dominant at the box office. It brought in $45.3 million over the weekend, down about half from it’s opening weekend that included July 4th. Adding in its global take, the movie had made $847 million worldwide on Sunday, and is now over $850 million.
It’s a good thing too. According to reports from MovieWeb, if Spider-Man: Far From Home fails to bring in 1 billion dollars, the rights for the third movie would revert back to Sony. Marvel must have felt pretty confidant, as Spider-Man: Homecoming brought in 880 million dollars over the course of its theatrical run. Far From Home will have no problem eclipsing that, and shouldn’t have any difficulty clearing the 1 billion mark at this point.
