DC Douglas Denies All Claims
Douglas responded across social media, denying claims that he has been in possession or shared any Resident Evil 4 artwork. On Facebook, Douglas announced that he is “not hired by Capcom for any RE games as of today.”
In a post on Instagram, Douglas further elaborated,
“I have announced nothing, posted nothing and have repeatedly stated that I am not under any contract with Capcom (RE4 or otherwise). I won’t be commenting further on any RE4 rumours because I have 2 cats that really need my attention. I excitedly await RE4 news just like the rest of you!”
Currently, Douglas’s Twitter and Twitch account are deactivated. However, Douglas asserts in an Instagram thread that his Twitter account was suspended on January 5th for “mocking QAnon accounts.” He also added that he decided to leave the platform permanently because “twitter is toxic.”
Eurogamer reached out to Capcom for confirmation on any of these rumors, but weren’t given any info in response. Likewise, when asked about Douglas’s involvement in upcoming titles, Capcom responded there are “no announcements to make regarding future projects at this time.”
