Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Film Has Found Its Knuckles

After the ending of the first Sonic The Hedgehog film, we expected that this wasn’t the last time we’d see our favorite blue hedgehog, but now we have found out that our favorite red echidna will be joining him in the second film. That’s just the tip of the excitement iceberg. Knuckle the Echidna will be voiced by Idris Elba. He’ll be joining the already star-studded cast of Jim Carrey, James Marsden, and Ben Schwartz.

Idris Elba tweeted a simple “Knock Knock” with the hashtags #SonicMovie2 #Knuckles as he announces his role to the world.

The first Sonic The Hedgehog film had a few missteps with the original character design for Sonic, but after reviewing feedback from fans, Paramount Pictures Studios made the wise decision to put it back into post-production and redesign Sonic from the ground up and it paid off. Now, let’s hope they do our friend Knuckles the same justice.
