The Last Remnant Remastered Now Available on Mobile Devices
Square-Enix announced that The Last Remnant Remastered is now available on mobile devices through the App Store and Google Play.
Originally released in 2008 and recently remastered for the Nintendo Switch system and PlayStation 4, the popular JRPG takes players on a timeless adventure.
Created by an all-star team including Akitoshi Kawazu (Final Fantasy and SaGa series), Yusuke Naora (Art Director on Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy XV) and Hiroshi Takai (Assistant Director on Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn), The Last Remnant captured the hearts and minds of gamers with its enthralling story, countless characters and intricate battle system, and now features touch controls designed specifically for mobile devices and tablets. In a world filled with “Remnants” – ancient artifacts that grant mysterious abilities to their wielders – players can now uncover the mysteries of Rush Sykes, at home or on-the-go.
The Last Remant Remastered is available for $19.99 through the App Store and Google Play Store, and is also available digitally for the Nintendo Switch system and PlayStation 4.
Our Thoughts – I’m not going to lie to you, I did not like this game when it originally came out in 2008. However I do think this highlights an interesting trend of games that are a decade old now finding new life on small consoles. My personal hope is that more development companies other than Square-Enix jump on this trend and make some more recent hits and classic available on more modern devices.
