Logitech Purchases Streamlabs For 89 Million
Logitech has reached a deal to purchase Streamlabs for roughly 89 million dollars. If Streamlabs sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you’ve streamed to Twitch at some point in your life. Streamlabs OBS is one of the most popular applications for livestreaming in the world right now.
It’s a pretty sensible partnership, as Logitech is well known for making gaming and streaming peripherals. The partnership will likely mean a larger integration of streaming features on Logitech peripherals. Twitch launched their own streaming software last month, called Twitch Studio. The program is simple and easy to use, but is restricted to streaming on Twitch. Streamlabs on the other hand has more features and takes some learning, but can stream to multiple platforms.
