Louis Vuitton Partners With League of Legends – What Does It Mean?
We’re a mere five days away from the biggest esports event of the year! The group stages of the League of Legends World Championship get underway on October 2nd, and already the news is flying. One of the more interesting stories over the last week has been Louis Vuitton striking a partnership with Riot. The multi-year partnership has two major facets to it. First, they’ll design a trophy case for the Summoner’s Cup, given out to the winners at Worlds. Secondly, they’ll be creating a line of skins for characters in the game.

Louis Vuitton has been creating stylish and quality designs since 1854. They created trophy cases for the FIFA World Cup, Rugby World Cup, and sailing’s America’s cup. They’ll now turn their attention towards esports, starting with what’s considered by many the most prestigious trophy in esports.
The guys at Checkpoint XP On Campus talked about it on this week’s episode, diving into their expectations of Louis Vuitton on Summoner’s Rift.
