Final Fantasy VIII Remaster Given Release Date

For those who have been waiting, the Final Fantasy VIII Remaster officially has a date. And it’s sooner than anyone would have predicted. The remaster of the 1999 classic will be releasing on September 3rd, as was announced out at Gamescom.

The remaster is set to include graphical enhancements that have effectively killed the “You’re the best looking guy here” meme. In addition, quality of life updates have been made to the gameplay, though we don’t have specifics on whether the much-maligned draw system has been revamped. The game will be coming to Steam, Switch, PS4, and X-Box One early next month!
