The Mecca of Fighting Game Tournaments, Evolution or EVO, has a new king of the hill when it comes to most player entries. In a tweet from EVO staff member, Joey Cuellar, it became clear that Smash Bros. Ultimate is the new top game at the tournament.
It must also be stated that this is the first tournament in many years that fan favorite, Smash Melee will not be at the tournament. Also, first year game Samurai Shodown sees more than 1.7k entries beating out fellow freshman game Mortal Kombat 11 and 2018’s top game, Dragonball Fighterz.
