Twitch Prime celebrated Amazon Prime Days by hosting the Twitch Prime Crown Cup at the HyperX Esports Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Twitch Prime Crown Cup featured EA’s Apex Legends. Popular streamer, TimTheTatman, hosted the event as celebrities and streamers played in a single elimination tournament. Local Twitch Prime members and streamers were also welcome to play.

In between matches, Kevin Smith, American filmmaker, actor, comedian, comic book writer, author, and podcaster, interviewed the streamers and players. Music producer and DJ JVNA kept the mood going with upbeat hits.

In the first round, professional esports player, FaZe Rug, and his partner, King Richard, went against celebrity and Supergirl actress, Melissa Benoist. Benoist put up a fight as her streamer partner, Sequisha, came to aid her seven times.

YouTuber Jericho and his streamer partner, GoldGlove, were pitted in a friendly competition against global platinum-selling DJ Dillon Francis and streamer DuendePablo. Francis and Jericho bantered across the stage during their match, providing much entertainment outside of the game.

Actor and producer Jason Mewes paired with streamer Anthony Kongphan against singer and songwriter Madilyn Bailey and streamer ANGRYPUG. ANGRYPUG flew into battle “like a Viking” as TimTheTatman commented during the match, and Bailey did well, dodging and hiding behind boxes, but it was not enough for the win as their squad was eliminated.

Multi-platinum music producer Murda Beatz partnered with Alinity as they went against DJ, singer and songwriter Zedd and streamer FemSteph. Alinity unfortunately missed a portal and was taken down. Zedd and FemSteph took the win that round.

By the end of the tournament, Jason Mewes and Anthony Kongphan took the win and the Twitch Prime Crown.
