Announced at E3 2017, the Intel Grand Slam was created to distinguish the best of the best in the CS:GO world. Each year, the first team to win four of the last ten premier tournaments hosted by ESL or Dreamhack would win a prize of $1,000,000. Last year it was Astralis that qualified for the first every Intel Grand Slam. However, this year after their first four premiere tournaments, making this the fastest Intel Grand Slam possible, Team Liquid secured the prize.
