Once again, Sony has confirmed the PlayStation 5 during an earnings call. We weren’t able to glean much about the system. However, the reason we started getting PS5 details was that the PS5 dev kits had started to go out to third party developers, and Sony wanted to get ahead of the leaks. Interestingly, the call noted that the PS4 moved a little under 18 million units last year, bringing its lifetime total to 96.8 million. Another year even close to this year, and it’ll surpass the Wii which sits at a little shy of 102 million units.
