The United Kingdom’s Competition and Market’s Authority (CMA) has recently launched an investigation against Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo to determine if certain business practices are fair to the consumer. The CMA will be looking at various trends of these companies in the gaming space in relation to subscription models, auto-renewal and cancellation, as well as roll-over contracts. The CMA has said they are fully prepared to take action depending on their findings.
