Dead By Daylight Cross-Play for PC and Consoles Is Now Available
The developers of Dead By Daylight have promised that this was in the works for quite some time, and as usual, they live up to their word. Behaviour Interactive has officially announced that Dead By Daylight Cross-Play and Cross-Friends is now available for PC and Consoles.
The platforms that are available to cross are Steam, Microsoft Store, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch. However, mobile is not an option at this time. This makes sense since despite being the same game, there are some key differences in how Dead by Daylight plays versus the PC and console counterparts.
There are several factors that many players struggle with when it comes to cross-platform gaming and how “fair” it is. Most players would agree that PC-playing killers will be harder than console-players, but you are not forced to play cross-platform. Within the settings, you can toggle the option on or off (give the game a restart) and you are good to play however you choose, but the wait-times could become longer since this would create a smaller pool of players to match with.
You can find the full details about the Dead by Daylight cross-play option on their most recent blog post.
