We are living through a Mario renaissance right now, with the recent release of Super Mario 3D All Stars . But fear not, remakes and ports are not the only things Nintendo is bringing to the table. For a limited time, you are able to grab the hottest new Battle Royale where you play as Mario and try to CRUSH your opponents, Super Mario Bros. 35.

Super Mario Bros. 35

The game casts you as one of 35 Marios, playing the 2D levels of the classic Super Mario Bros. against others online. As you play, you can make other people’s journeys more difficult by defeating enemies, which will be sent to your opponents’ courses; think Tetris 99, but with 35 Marios instead.

However, the game isn’t a permanent addition to the games you can play on your Switch. Just like it’s Super Mario 3D All Stars counterpart, this game is available only for a limited time, disappearing from the Nintendo E-shop on March 31, 2020. Why Nintendo is attempting to make all of its super cool releases a limited release is a mystery to most people, but, another game that started off as a limited release, Jump Rope Challenge, has recently been extended indefinitely.

Are you hype for all the Mario stuff being released? Or are you just holding in there until next year when it’s Zelda’s 35th anniversary (COME ON OCARINA OF TIME REMAKE!!)?
