Sony Announces That It’s Pulling Out Of PAX East Due To Coronavirus Concerns
Sony won’t be attending PAX East. They are canceling their appearance and booth space at the popular gaming convention due to fears of Coronavirus.
The company detailed their reasoning for pulling out of the immensily popular event saying
“Today, Sony Interactive Entertainment made the decision to cancel its participation at PAX East in Boston this year due to increasing concerns related to COVID-19 (also known as “novel coronavirus”). We felt this was the safest option as the situation is changing daily. We are disappointed to cancel our participation in this event, but the health and safety of our global workforce is our highest concern.”
Sony had originally promoted that they would be bringing a playable build of The Last of Us 2 along with lloks at Marvel’s Iron man, Nioh2, and Doom Eternal.
It is unclear whether or not any of these demos or pieces of content will be a part of the show at all.
