CheckpointXP – Close Shave of the Week – 11/21/19

This week’s Close Shave of the Week takes us back to the grand finals at the League of Legends World Championship. With game 1 slipping away, G2 Esports went against conventional logic. Rather than turtling up and trying to play defense, they went on the offensive and took the fight to FunPlus Phoenix.
While the play didn’t go perfectly, it went very well for a team as behind as G2 were. They managed to get some offense in and buy themselves some more time in the match. A clutch Ryze ultimate saved the last two members of the team and kept G2 in the game. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be enough as FunPlus Phoenix eventually took the win.
