In a quarterly earnings call, Sony revealed that they moved 3.2 million PlayStation 4 units this quarter. Why is that relevant? Because that brings the lifetime total to 100 million units. Sony has lowered their projections for what the system will move over the next year, citing next-gen consoles eating into sales. This makes the PS4 the 6th best selling console of all time or the 4th best selling console excluding handhelds. Sony holds 4 of the top 5 slots excluding handhelds with the Nintendo Wii holding the top 4 spot.
