#EUNABRLATWR

Tension grows between Riot Games and an online community. A coup of League of Legend (LOL) players raised arms against the game’s developer with the hashtag, #EUNABRLATWR, as their banner. They wanted to bring back a LOL esports league to the West.
The game introduced a new matchmaking system for players called the Wild Rift. This PC modified version uses a ranked competitive ladder that determines a player’s skill levels and places them in different tiers.
A community and entire esports season, Wild Rift Esports, arose from it. Hate followed them as Riot Games announced that they removed the esports league for Western servers. They will start a new Wild Rift League in Asia and the community had to respond. Their voice went unheard the first time.
Now, they flood Twitter with quotable memes, threats to leaving the game, and lengthy rants about the developer’s decision. They’re even creating a movement for it. A user suggested they add, SAVEWR, to their gamenames, screenshot it, and share it on social media. They will try anything to bring back the Wild Rift to the West. Who knows? Maybe Riot Games will listen.
