As of late, there have been plenty of old games getting the remake and port treatment. Games like Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Final Fantasy VII (2020) are examples of remakes. Taking a very old game and giving it a new look, new feel, all while keeping true to what the original was. Persona 5 Royal and the Yakuza series got ported to other consoles allowing people on Xbox and PC to play these formerly Playstation exclusive games. But what other games should get remade or ported to newer consoles?
Sly Cooper
One of my favorite old Playstation games. Being first released in 2002 it could benefit from a new makeover. Sucker Punch, the studio who published the series, was bought by Sony in 2011 and made one more Sly Cooper game in 2013. Since then there has not been any hint at another game unfortunately. The series deserves a second life and whether it is just a port to newer consoles or a full on remake, I am all for it.
Bully
One of the most underrated Rockstar games. Everyone always raves about GTA but not enough people give Bully its flowers. It played very similar to how GTA does but in a non illegal way. The story was great and it had a lot to offer to players. It is a game that should get a remake and a much needed face lift but, with GTA 6 happening eventually, who knows if this will happen.
Metal Gear Solid
One of the original games to use 3D models. Released in 1998 it is still seen as an iconic game that kind of paved the way for what games are today. This all time classic game deserves an all time classic remake. Even the developers have hinted at the possibility of a remake so anything is possible.
God of War
The long time Playstation exclusive has been widely regarded as one of the best game series of this generation. Going all the way back to 2005, the series has put out nothing but bangers and with the release of God of War Ragnarok the older games should be brought to other consoles so that it can be enjoyed by everyone.
