In an update to a previous story, where Riot Games employees threatened to walk out over Riot’s new Forced Arbitration polices, Riot Games employees have done so. This being the very first organized labor demonstration for any major game studio. As a result, 150 employees have walked out to protest the systemic issues of sexism.

Riot’s management was instructed not to take retaliatory action against the protesters. Employees are seeking to have the Forced Arbitration removed from their contracts of past, present and future employees. Leaders of the Walk Out issued one ultimatum at the end of the protest. They gave Riot until May 16th, 2019 to make a commitment on this issue or face further action.
