GameStop is looking to make a major pivot away from just selling video games as they struggle to find their place in the modern gaming world. They’re turning their eyes towards esports, making a host of massive investments. They’ve struck partnerships with Complexity Gaming, Infinite Esports, and Envy Gaming as well as the Houston Outlaws and Dallas Fuel Overwatch Teams. They’ll be hosting watch parties for Overwatch League, and have also partnered with the Collegiate Star League.
